Export of Data

Overview of all export options in Mendato: payroll data for payroll accounting and accounting data for financial accounting.

Written by Philipp Geimer

Mendato offers three export types that let you hand over all relevant data to your payroll or tax office in a structured way or back up your master data – digitally, without printouts, and in common formats such as DATEV, Lexware, or Excel.

You create new exports under Settings > Export > New Export. There you choose between Payroll Data, Accounting Data, and Master Data. All created exports are available for download for 24 hours.

Settings → Exports with the 'New Export' button and a list of created DATEV and Lexware exports

Payroll Data

Target audience: Payroll office / payroll accountant

The payroll data export contains all relevant data for preparatory payroll: confirmed working times, surcharges (night, Sunday, public holiday), absences (vacation, sickness), and travel times.

Available formats:

  • DATEV LODAS

  • DATEV Lohn & Gehalt

  • Lexware

  • Agenda

  • Hours reports (Excel)

  • Working days (Excel)

Accounting Data

Target audience: Tax office / financial accountant

The accounting data export contains all invoices, credit notes, receipts, and the associated accounting entries – prepared for financial accounting. In addition, you can export a list of all outstanding customer receivables (open items list) as of a freely selectable reference date – ideal for a reference date review at year-end closing or for ongoing monitoring of outstanding items.

Master Data

Target audience: Administrators

The master data export lets you download your company data as an Excel file. You can export individual data sets selectively – ideal for data backup, further processing, or transfer to other systems.

Available data sets:

  • Customers

  • Objects

  • Employees

  • Subcontractors

  • Services

  • Materials

  • Suppliers

Note: No time period is required for the master data export – all data is always exported. The export is only available to administrators.
