Create Employee + Working Time Model

How to create an employee and working time model in Mendato – guide.

To create an employee in Mendato, follow these steps:

1. Go to Master Data:

  • Open Master Data in the main menu.

2. Select Employees:

  • Click Employees in the submenu to display a list of all existing employees.

3. Create a New Employee:

  • On the right-hand side you will find the New Employee button. Click it to open the form for creating a new employee.

4. Enter Employee Data:

  • Fill in the fields with the relevant information:

    • Name: The employee's first and last name.

    • Address: The employee's street, house number, postal code, city, and country.

    • Contact Information: Email address, phone number.

    • Personnel Number: Assign a unique personnel number to the employee.

    • Driver's License: available or not available, important later for the filter.

Click Save to create the employee. The employee view opens.

You can now add further details such as notes, a working time model, Mendato user access, assign services, and upload employee-related files.

5. Set Up the Working Time Model:

Click Create Working Time Model.

  • Define the working time model for the employee:

    • Hours per Week: Enter the contractually agreed working hours per week (e.g. 40 hrs/week Target Time).

    • Working Days: Select the working days (e.g. Monday to Friday) and set the daily duration (e.g. 8h/Mon-Fri).

6. Create a User for Mendato Operations:

  • If the employee needs access to Mendato Operations (for time tracking), you can click Add in the Users section and assign them an access. Enter an email address the employee can later use to log in.

After these steps, the new employee appears in the employee list and can be assigned to operations, time tracking, and other tasks.

Additional Information:

  • You can later upload additional data such as Calendar, Orders, Time Records, Absences, Working Days (Time Sheets) and Files such as employment contracts, ID cards, etc.
