What Employees Need to Know to Use Mendato Operations Correctly

For employees to use Mendato Operations fully & correctly, they should know and apply its basic functions.

Anyone with a smartphone is able to operate Mendato Operations. In the beginning, some employees need more support than others. Above all, it is a new habit that needs to be trained.

That is why it is important to remind some employees by phone (more frequently) during the first month - until the habit sets in.

Work with a reward and penalty system, e.g. a €20 Amazon voucher for private smartphone use and mobile data, for those employees who reliably track their time.

For employees who do not speak German very well, there are also guides in various languages.


Here are the most important functions employees need to know. If necessary, invite your employees and go through the process together once.

1. Login & Access

  • Receiving credentials: Employees receive their login details from the company.

  • Logging in: Login is done via email/phone number & password.

  • Login by phone: The country code is usually detected automatically and does not need to be entered, as shown in the example.

  • Login by email: Click 'Log in with Email Address' at the bottom.

  • Forgotten password: Can be deleted and recreated via the administration.


2. Recording Operations & Working Hours

  • Starting an operation: Open & start the assigned operation in the app.

  • Recording the journey: If required, the journey can be started & documented. The 1st journey of the day is recorded but not compensated.

  • Starting & ending breaks: Breaks are recorded separately and must be documented correctly.

  • Ending an operation: After completing the operation, the employee must stop the time tracking.


3. Documentation & Records

  • Take photos directly in the app or upload them from the gallery.

  • Add comments to record important details about the operation.

  • Multiple photos can be uploaded – if the limit is reached, simply create another comment with photos.


4. Service Receipts

Opening service receipts: In the operation, click "Open Service Receipt (Draft)" to open the document on the server.

Service receipt outstanding quantity: If the effort needs to be transferred (Source: Service Receipt), enter the outstanding quantity into the quantity field via "Complete". The administration can also store a fixed quantity via the service receipt template in the order.

Signing the service receipt: As soon as all items are completed, it can be signed at the very bottom using your finger (or mouse on a computer).


5. Time Sheets & Work Records

  • Viewing your own working hours: All recorded operations & times are visible in the personal time sheet.

  • Checking the time tracking: Employees can verify that all times have been recorded correctly.


6. Reporting Absences & Missed Time

Submitting vacation or sick leave: Absences can be recorded & submitted directly in the app.


Languages & Availability

Mendato Operations is available in multiple languages. The app's language automatically adapts to the system language of the smartphone.
